| Creating is my religion. It is my expression. It is my voice. The process is the key. From inception to death, all art has a cycle that needs nurtured, I provide that nourishment. Through the process we learn new skills, we push our boundaries, we reach new understandings. For me the process is more important than the finished piece. My current addiction is with charcoal and ash. I would consider it my primary medium even though it's not a medium. There's just sooo many awesome things to be done with it. Actually natural materials in general (resins, pigments, dyes, encaustics, etc) are really great to work with too. Oh and driftwood, it's pretty much a ready made art piece. |
